Safety display Theme:
“Selling Safety”
Basic Safety Ideas "Packaged, Presented & Sold" to the
consumer.
This could be a PSA Video, a Cold Call Style display with
visuals. The possibilities are endless.
Aerospace education display Theme:
“Aerospace Defends the Home.”
We are looking for “out-of-the-box” thinking regarding new
ideas for Homeland Security.
70 Years of Service display Theme:
"GREAT
MOMENTS IN C.A.P. HISTORY"
Re-Create a visual display of a Great Moment in CAP history.
Size: Must fit on or within the area of two (2) 3x6 foot
tables (36 sq. ft.)
Judging:
1) Accuracy (facts, figures and stories) – 15 points
2) Neatness (readable letters and words) – 15 points
3) Ingenuity (novel approach to the subject) – 15 points
4) Information (understandable and pertinent) – 20 points
5) Presentation (interaction and layout) – 20 points
6) Visual impact (the “WOW” factor) – 15 points
Public Speaking:
The competition is open to all cadet staff sergeants and
above.

Cadet Protocol
Cadet Protocol for the 2012 Massachusetts Wing
Conference
1. Cadets will be in assigned uniform of the day at all
designated times, from 0700hrs Saturday morning until 1200hrs Sunday.
2. Cadets will wear their conference ID badges at all times.
3. All cadets are required to attend seminars unless they are
cadet aides or manning a cadet display. (Only two cadets are to
staff their cadet displays at one time and must be rotated
throughout the day)
4. Cadets will, at all times, adhere to the
customs and courtesies that are required of a CAP cadet when
dealing with superiors, peers, or subordinates. (ie. no talking
or being disrespectful during seminars, general assembly, or the
banquet)
5. Drinking of any alcoholic beverages, smoking, doing
drugs, or possessing drug paraphernalia will NOT be tolerated,
is in violation of CAPR 52-16 and its supplement. Violation will
result in the cadet IMMEDIATLY being sent home from the
conference (at their expense).
6. All cadets will hold themselves to adult standards as ladies
and gentleman. When males and females are in rooms together the
door will be propped all the way open. Cadets WILL be in their
own rooms once the “lights out” curfew is in place.
7. Cadets WILL adhere to the “lights out” curfew as published
in the conference brochure and WILL observe the “quiet hours” as
noted by the hotel.
8. Cadets WILL NOT disgrace the honor or integrity of
the Massachusetts Wing, Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air
Force, the armed services, or the United States of America at
any time in or out of uniform.
9. Cadets will operate in accordance with the CAP Core Values of
Excellence, Integrity, Volunteer Service, and Respect.
10. At all times use your common sense, but above all have fun!
